# Tips to improve faster

> Simple habits that get the most out of live lessons and AI practice.

## A simple weekly rhythm

1. **Before your lesson** — message your teacher what you want to work on, and check [Grammar Insights](/knowledge-base/student-guide/grammar-insights) for your top mistake category.
2. **In your lesson** — speak in full sentences and use your **Focus Set** words.
3. **After your lesson** — read your [report](/knowledge-base/student-guide/lesson-reports): note 2–3 mistakes to fix and add a few new words to your Focus Set.
4. **Between lessons** — do short daily [AI conversations](/knowledge-base/student-guide/ai-conversations), and read the feedback each time.
5. **Weekly** — ask the [JustTalk coach](/knowledge-base/student-guide/ai-progress-profile) *"what should I work on next?"*.

## Habits that work

* **Speak in full sentences.** Longer answers give the AI more to analyze, so your feedback is sharper.
* **Use your Focus Set on purpose.** Words only earn progress when you actually say them.
* **Don't fear mistakes.** Every mistake becomes a specific, fixable tip — that's the point.
* **Keep a streak.** A few minutes daily beats one long session a week.
* **Practice the real situation.** Got an interview or a trip? Do that exact role-play first.
